Like many others this year, I am working from home. Maybe I’ll have time for some blog updates, or poetry. I won’t promise to write one every day, but we’ll see how many I do get out.
You may regret following me.
Here’s a limerick to kick things off. Limericks are always an excellent choice.
This verse is neither, I fear Particularly clever or clear But as poetry goes It certainly shows You couldn’t do worse than start here.

I couldn’t come up with a title for this one
The ceremonies have been performed The paperwork filed The flowers have wilted The casseroles are eaten Family and friends have returned home Clothing is boxed and sent to charity Just one last task to perform Blank cards waiting for the words "Thank you for your kindness and sympathy" Then the tasks will be done Life will move on

The shadows of tree limbs stretch bare fingered limbs out across a rolling field tinged gold by the early light. They reach across the hills stretching for their kin almost a mile away then, unable to reach across the hills they slide back to their trees retreating with the rising Sun waiting for a new dawn to try again

Rising from the south pole, Pushing the compass needle Pointing north is that way Dragging with it the charged particles blown off of the Sun that would strip our DNA of important atoms slamming them down into the air where they fluoresce in dancing lights and sing in radio It loops back down in the north passing through the Earth to rise again protecting us like a cocoon from the harsh life giving Sun
