Big Dipper to Southern Cross.

Have you longed to see the stars in that other hemisphere? Do you dream of seeing the Magellanic Clouds, or Whirlpool galaxy? Does the thought of the Ring Nebula or 47 Tucanae tempt you to stow away on a north/southbound freighter?

Well here’s your chance, albeit through your computer, so not quite as good as the real thing.

For those in the souther hemisphere (or someplace cloudy in the north), head over to  www.virtualtelescope.eu/webtv on July 27, at 22:45 – 24:45 UT (That’s 6:45-8:45 PM EDT).

For those in the north, mark your calendar for August 3 21:00-23:00 UT (5:00-7:00 PM EDT). You’ll have to check the project page (the link at the top) for the URL.
