Cosmology: The Origin, Evolution & Ultimate Fate of the Universe « Astronomical Society.

One of the toughest topics to tackle in a college astronomy class is cosmology. It’s a topic that could take up an entire class. Actually, it’s a topic whose sub-topics could take up an entire career. But in a typical intro astro class, you get about a week. Maybe 2.

It’s also a field where understanding expands faster than the turn around time for publishing a book.

Instructors need something that can make cosmology simpler, but remain accurate, and keep up with our changing understanding. The ASP has assembled a set of resources that do just that. Tis list of resources includes websites students can use, good articles to help clarify concepts, and a section of research into students’ understanding of cosmology.

If you teach cosmology, you need to check this out.
