This is such a nice graphic.

We are so used to the idea that we have a huge reach. I mean, we cover this planet. There isn’t a single continent left that doesn’t have people living there. We’ve been to the Moon. We’re always writing stories about moving to Mars or traveling to other solar systems. The galaxy hardly seems big enough to hold us. My students seem disappointed to learn that the universe isn’t infinite.

Time for a reality check:
