This image just goes to show, if you happen to be in the right place at the right time, you can rally capture a great picture!

Thierry Legault – Partial solar eclipse and transit of the Space Station from Oman.

Legault had to be in the right place to catch both the solar eclipse and a transit of the ISS, and of course his timing had to be perfect too.  ISS will cross the face of the Sun in just a few seconds.

 

UPDATE: I couldn’t resist adding this.  Someone else (who saw the picture on another site without the heading telling them that is ISS) saw this and thought that a tie fighter had been photoshopped in!
