planetary conjunction of fall 2008 November 26, 2008

Just in case you haven’t heard, there’s a great conjunction coming.

If you’ve been watching the sky in the evening (if it hasn’t been cloudy where you are) you might have noticed Venus closing in on Jupiter in the west. They will be at their closest on Nov. 29, but the real sky-show is Dec 1, when they are joined by the crescent Moon.
