I don’t know why I haven’t posted this earlier.  This was the first place I really stated going to in SL (I know, I’m such a geek). It is of course not always astronomy.

Science Friday (in case you don’t know) is the Friday version of NPR’s Talk of the Nation show.  I don’t know how long it’s been running, but I pretty much grew up with it.  You can listen on most NPR stations Friday 2 – 4 PM eastern time. It’s also on Sirius satellite radio, and there are many webstreams. There are a couple listed on the Science Friday website.

But this is about stuff in Second Life.   You can listen and ask questions in SL on the Science Friday island, though if there are a lot of people you are better off listening to one of the other sources.  There are also a few displays on the island dealing with recent topics.
