Answers in Genes: The Medical Case for Mars.
Just in case the Letters of Note post from Monday wasn’t enough, here’s another argument for the exploration of Space. The blogger makes many of the same points that Ernst Stuhlinger made over 40 years ago. However, he makes one very concise statement: ” In human history there are two major drivers of rapid technological advance. The first is War. The second is a Great Project.”
We are at a point in history when we can make a choice. We can choose to advance as a species through conflict or through cooperation.
I know which one I would prefer.
